The generosity of hundreds of donors enables Music of the Baroque to inspire and engage audiences with exceptional performances of eighteenth-century music rarely performed by other groups. More than two-thirds of the ensemble’s $1.8 million budget comes from individuals, corporations, foundations and government, keeping tickets prices affordable and our educational outreach program accessible to 1600 Chicago Public High School students.
Music of the Baroque is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.

Foundation and Government Support
National, regional and local foundations and state and local government agencies are investors in Music of the Baroque. In addition to supporting performances, foundations also ensure that Music of the Baroque’s educational outreach program continues to provide exceptional vocal education for high school students who express an interest in musical studies but lack the resources to pursue their aspirations. The Illinois Arts Council and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs are MOB’s generous and long-time public partners.
